I really want a tablet lately. I normally wouldn't care much since for practical purposes the mouse suits me just fine, but I'm suddenly all paranoid about getting carpal tunnel. I'll put it on my Christmas list and pray my parents get me one, I guess.

Stored away most of my stuff on DeviantART. I was going to make a journal on there about that but I don't want to sound like a crazy person to the people who've just started watching me.
Basically I did it since I don't feel like I belong on dA. I haven't felt like I belong there in a long time, and I've actually begun getting really uncomfortable exposing my art there. My characters, my paintings... they're getting more precious to me all the time; I feel protective of them lately for some reason. I could go on an angry rant about the general shallowness and screwed-up priorities of the masses on dA, but I'm not going to stoop to that.
Note I didn't say I was leaving, of course. I still intend to hang out, give comments, etc. And I'm leaving up my tutorials and stamps since they're meant to be used and shared.
(By the way, if there's a picture of mine you want to see again, look for it on Storm-Artists, or you can ask me to put it up again temporarily. Feel free to save anything you want to your hard drive and all that.)

My novel for Nanowrimo is going badly, I'm 6,000 words behind due to having a Certain Somebody around all the time, general busy-ness, starting over with a new story and then going back, etc. But I still have hopes of catching up! *shakes fist at the heavens*

I finished Twin Peaks. I didn't like the last episode hugely (I think it explained too much) but overall the series was superb.

Right now I feel like embarking on writing an epic story of some sort but the tone has not congealed yet and I have zero ideas for characters that aren't like every character I've ever made before.

On an unrelated note, I kinda want to make a list of all the tropes that appear in my own stories.

Some people were coming to look at our apartment today so we cleaned it from top to bottom. It was quite a bit of work, but when we got home tonight it looked like it wasn't even our house, it was so tidy.

Meanwhile, we went to look at some apartments ourselves. We also did the laundry at a laundromat.

Then, we went to the mall and met up with my sister there and we wandered around and I got a backache.

Also, we went to a pet store and there were friggin' cute puppies, but they cost $800.
But they also had a tiny stingray for only $55 and sea slugs for $30 and I want them.

Last night I came down with a lovely sore throat which persists even now.
As a result, food is no longer yummy or fun. So I will lose weight.

Meanwhile, I'm hoping my quest to design a new fantasy world will still seem like a good idea in the morning.

Kim came over earlier and brought sherbet. Yum.

This afternoon I let the gerbils run amok and they got into the bathroom, where they proceeded to chew on the toilet plunger and lick the toilet. I don't understand the appeal, really.

The siblings came over and we went swimming. Some crazy people were having a drunken party in the pool area, reducing my happiness significantly.

Then we went to the store and got these doughnut-shaped ice cream treats which are yummy but are not helping my stomachache at all.

Tonight's plan: Finish my Livejournal emotes and possibly launch Slugworks. It may or may not come to fruition.

Time to start keeping a diary *triumphant music*
I've decided to plop my musings here rather than on Myspace (due to the fact that I want this to be a daily update, and I doubt my acquaintances on said site want to deal with a daily blog update) or on Storm-Artists (slooooow site).

Today's thoughts on music: New Joy Electric album, "The Otherly Opus" is very good. Nice classic Joy E. Reminds me why I liked the band in the first place. "Ponderance Need Not Know" is downright lovely.
Listened to some Michael Card on Napster too, and it brought back some happy memories. I wish I subscribed to that site so I could have more music.

On my arts: Working on a picture for my IM friend Amber. It's over in my scraps at storm-artists, and anyone who wants to offer advice is encouraged to do so because I suck at digital coloring but I want this picture to rule. http://www.storm-artists.net/view/34730
I also made a picture of L that I'm somewhat pleased with, but since I'm no longer on dA it can't get the attention from L fangirls it deserves. Sigh. http://www.storm-artists.net/view/34624 (the mature content is for blood)

On the Internet: Having been banished from deviantART, you'd think I could cause no more trouble there. Not so. I posted a journal on Snark in dismay over an admin and it caused a small stir. I'm sure that comment woulda been noticed anyways, but still.... Yeah. I'm babbling.
Special shout-out to some awesome online friends: Draconicsoul, Amber, and ReallyAngry! I'm glad I'm better at making friends online than IRL.
Also, thanks to everyone who signed Draconicsoul's Un-Ban Arpie petition. I didn't even know anyone noticed me on that site. It was encouraging to see that people cared. And if you have any questions or thoughts regarding that particular incident, feel free to write and I'll answer.

Umm, that's all for now. Y'all can feel free to contact me here, on Storm-Artists (Arpie. storm-artists.net), or by email (chicken_nugget_with_ranch_sauce@hotmail.com)
